Andrew Harvey
Non-Executive Director and Chair of Woodsure
Andrew founded Woodsure more than a decade ago, establishing a quality standard for the waste wood that came from his construction business and setting up a voluntary quality assurance scheme for firewood producers. Eventually the scheme grew and superseded a similar scheme run by HETAS, with the organisations joining together to drive further adoption.
Today, Andrew remains Chair of Woodsure and also joined HETAS as a Non-Executive Director in 2019. Working alongside our other Board members, Andrew uses his business leadership experience to guide and grow HETAS and Woodsure, aiming to ensure a sustainable future for our staff and stakeholders. He’s passionate about creating a better environment through the adoption of best practice in the industry, helping people to feel confident in using wood and biomass fuel effectively now and in the future.
