Jason Harries

In 2024 Jason Harries joined Woodsure, the organisation behind the UK’s only wood fuel quality assurance scheme, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the UK’s sustainability sector.

Over that time Jason worked with government departments and led joint working groups within the testing, inspection and certification sector – all with a key goal of empowering sustainability in business. Jason’s career has also seen him involved in notable projects including the construction of the Shard and the 2012 London Olympics build, heading up teams that advanced sustainable material usage, as well as working closely with high street retailers such as LUSH. 

As Head of Woodsure, Jason works to achieve the company’s mission of improving the standard of wood fuel across the UK for a cleaner, safer and more sustainable environment, leveraging Woodsure’s key position in the biomass and fuel sector to help drive the industry’s sustainability efforts and futureproof the quality of wood fuel in the UK. 

Woodsure is part of Cleaner Safer Group, an independent, not-for-profit organisation which works to promote the highest standards for fuel, appliance and people to encourage the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible use of solid fuels including wood.
